Reduce A 3/4-Inch Drive To 1/2
Connect your 3/4-inch tool to a 1/2-inch drive socket with the fixed-direction reducer. It changes socket fit without limiting torque, so verify the smaller-drive component's rating.

LX-402 reduces a 3/4-inch tool drive to a 1/2-inch socket drive through one impact-rated adapter. Its chrome-molybdenum body and detent retention provide the documented conversion, while the tool and smaller-drive socket still require appropriate application limits.
Connect your 3/4-inch tool to a 1/2-inch drive socket with the fixed-direction reducer. It changes socket fit without limiting torque, so verify the smaller-drive component's rating.

The set has chrome-molybdenum steel construction as fully impact rated, with manganese phosphate coating. Select matching impact-rated components and verify application limits.

One 3/4-inch female to 1/2-inch male reducer. Tools, sockets and a verified pin-and-ring kit are not listed adapter contents.

The female end fits the tool anvil; the male end fits the socket drive recess. Socket drive size is separate from the fastener opening.
| Tool and socket | Works | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 3/4-inch tool, 1/2-inch socket | Matching conversion | Female 3/4-inch input, male 1/2-inch output. |
| 1/2-inch tool, 3/4-inch socket | Wrong direction for this adapter | Choose the opposite drive conversion. |
| 1/4-inch hex drill chuck | No direct square-drive connection | A hex chuck and square-drive anvil are different connections; no direct-fit promise is established. |
| Other square-drive sizes | No listed direct conversion | This product lists 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch connections. |
| Impact-rated sockets and matching anvils | Within component limits | Confirm retention, drive fit and limits for every component. |
| Pin and O-ring retention systems | Tool-specific verification needed | Check retention provisions; exact pin dimensions and compatibility are not specified. |
LX-402 accepts a 3/4-inch tool anvil and presents a smaller 1/2-inch male square for the socket. Check those two drive connections independently of the nut opening.
The female 3/4-inch input and male 1/2-inch output are listed for that pairing. A drive match alone does not prove that the smaller socket or adapter can accept every load from the larger wrench.
No torque-limiting feature is documented. The adapter changes connection size, so the tool setting and component ratings still determine the permissible work.
It does not reverse its fixed input and output. A 1/2-inch wrench feeding a 3/4-inch socket requires the LX-401 increaser rather than this 3/4-to-1/2 reducer.
The male square enters the socket's drive recess. The socket's nut opening can be a different size entirely; select that opening for the actual fastener.
Verify the 3/4-inch tool, 1/2-inch impact socket and job requirements before wheel work. Drive size alone does not confirm truck fit or a permissible torque.
The design provides a spring-loaded detent ball, visible on the 1/2-inch output. Check proper engagement in your socket before loading the reducer.
The chrome-molybdenum reducer is impact rated, with a standard torque value of 700 Nm. That value is not a documented tested maximum; follow the limits of the tool, socket and retention hardware.
A broken reducer needs Lexivon assessment. Confirm application limits rather than diagnosing overload from connection size alone.
A hex bit holder is not its documented 3/4-inch female square input. No direct drill-hex attachment is established for this reducer.
Check the reducer markings for the 3/4-inch input and 1/2-inch output, then compare the recess and projection with the tool and socket. Laser-etched sizes help identify the direction.
It is a chrome-molybdenum adapter with manganese phosphate coating. Chrome in the alloy name does not establish a polished chrome-plated socket finish.
Choose LX-401 when the tool is 1/2-inch drive and the socket is 3/4-inch drive. LX-402 serves the reverse combination, with a 3/4-inch tool and 1/2-inch socket.
LX-402 lists one reducer. The separate LX-403 set lists both conversion directions; do not assume the second adapter comes with this individual SKU.
A through-hole and retention illustration do not establish an included pin assortment or universal pin diameter. Confirm the hardware and anvil compatibility for the 3/4-inch input separately.
The adapter's claim does not certify a socket added to it. For impact work, choose a socket and retention arrangement whose own documented rating suits that application.
No durability guarantee follows from drive size alone. If a replacement fractures, review the job and component limits with Lexivon before continuing.
Lifetime coverage when you register online within 90 days of purchase; 12 months standard without registration. Commercial use is covered for 12 months and cannot be extended; industrial use is not covered. Coverage is for defects in material and workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear, misuse, modification and non-original parts.
Check the marked drive sizes, complete seating and retention at both ends. Verify that all components suit the chosen tool and job.
Stop using the damaged adapter and contact Lexivon for assessment. No approved home repair is specified.
Stop and check that the socket drive matches and seats correctly. If the retention feature is damaged or still does not engage, contact Lexivon before continuing.
No. Check drive size, retention design and condition before applying force. A generic quick-fit claim does not verify an incompatible or damaged connection.
No. Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship and excludes normal wear and tear, misuse, modification and non-original parts. Lexivon decides the resolution after assessment.
No. Industrial use is excluded. Commercial use is covered for 12 months and cannot be extended, including heavy-duty applications.
